About Us

Kristen Gregory is the instructor for this course and a PhD candidate in English. Her dissertation focuses on the gifted child in Cold War American literature and she has previously taught courses on the evil child, the gifted child, and juvenile delinquency. Kristen designed and piloted this course with a focus on childhood and death. When she is not teaching, Kristen spends a lot of time  with her two dogs and two cats, Eeyore, Fitz, McGonagall, and Cordelia. She is currently looking forward to wrapping up her dissertation and finishing the PhD.

Suzan Alteri is the curator of the Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature. Suzan helped to propose and develop this course. She advised Kristen in the creation of the course reading list and helped to create the guidelines for this final project. She served as a liason to the class throughout the semester and was an invaluable help to our students as they researched for their exhibits. Her knowledge of the ins and outs of Omeka also helped this site to be successful.
